AIKEN, SC -- PEARLIA DAGENHART GANTT, 92, widow of W. G. Gantt, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Stony Point, NC, Mrs. Gantt was a daughter of the late Amos and Mary Jane Massey Dagenhart. She had lived in Aiken for 31 years and formerly worked in the Post Office in Woodruff Drugs for 20 years. She worked as a volunteer at the Croft House for the last 9 1/2 years, and was a member of Aiken Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Ted (Margaret "Susie") Gantt of Aiken, three grandchildren; Lesley (Nicole) Gantt, Michelle (Bob) King and Nicole (Austin) Lancaster, all of Aiken, six great-grandchildren; Caleb, Alden and Ethan Gantt, Peyton and Evan King and Kinley Lancaster and a sister, Isabel Funderburke of Kannapolis, NC.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 PM at Aiken Church of Christ. Interment will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Abilene Church of Christ Cemetery in Statesville, NC.
