Carolyn Herron

AIKEN - Mrs. Carolyn Herron, 66, died Friday, December 31, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wes Holbrook and Reverend Dr. Marion Britton officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Woody Baughman, Patrick Matte, Mike Pitts, Mike Rafanan, Stevie Rodgers, Greg Sumner. Mrs. Herron was born in Ridge Spring, SC, a daughter of the late Wallace and Mattie Lou Funderburg Pitts. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and was a supervisor for Thermodisc/ASCO. She was also a volunteer for Relay For Life, and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Herron; daughter, Michele (Todd) Heath, Aiken; son, Calvin (Robin) Herron; grandchildren, Cody Heath, Kaylee Heath, Caleb Heath, Randi Herron; sisters, Katie (Stan) Rodgers, Aiken, Sylvia (Tommy) Baughman, Chattanooga, TN, Judy Pitts, Aiken; brother, Wallace Boone (Doris) Pitts, Aiken; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Pitts Miller. Memorials may be directed to Relay For Life, P.O. Box 5564, Aiken, SC 29804.
