Virginia Seigler Cornwell

AIKEN, SC – VIRGINIA SEIGLER CORNWELL, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center. A native and livelong resident of Aiken, Mrs. Cornwell was a daughter of the late Charlie Allen and Florence Plunkett Seigler. She was the widow of Leroy Cornwell. Mrs. Cornwell was retired from Graniteville Company and following her retirement worked at Automatic Switch Co. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and also volunteered with the Adopt A Grandparent program with the Aiken County Schools. Survivors include two daughters, Marie (Herman) Hair and Marilyn Seigler, a son, Michael R. (Linda) Cornwell, all of Aiken, seven grandchildren, Leigh Field, Dana Arbaugh, Wesley Seigler, Tonia Tucker, Lisa Goldman, Michael Wayne Cornwell and Russell Cornwell, and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home with Rev, Jamie Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
