AIKEN – Dr. Howard Kenneth Peacock, Jr., 85, of Aiken, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at his residence.
Dr. Peacock was born in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Howard K and Elmira Cameron Peacock. He retired form the US Navy a Lt. Commander, and then retired to Aiken in 1996 after a career in West Palm Beach, FL as an orthopedic surgeon. While in Aiken, he was a former President of the Lifelong Learning Center at USC Aiken, was a 2 year President of the Retired Officers Association, was a Fellow of the American Board of Orthopedists.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia King Peacock; two daughters, Suzanne G. Dingwell, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Diane Watson, Aiken, SC; a son, Bruce R. Peacock, Loxahatchee, FL; two grandchildren, Jessalyn and Seth Dingwell; and a sister, Myra Shook, Pace, FL.
Funeral services will be held privately
