AIKEN - Mrs. Frances Day Holley, 92, died Sunday, January 16, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Aiken, with the Reverend Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Holley, Frank Mishoe, John Mishoe, William Yarborough, Steven Glover and Dr. Bill Besson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Barbara Smith Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Holley was a lifelong resident of Aiken and daughter of the late James Henry and Hattie Delleney Day. She was a Registered Nurse at the Aiken County Health Department and retired after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glenn-Adair (David) Wade, Frisco, TX, Sandra (John R., Jr.) Mishoe, Greelyville, SC; a son, Thomas D. (Pat) Holley, Aiken; eight grandchildren, Jane Terlizzese, Julie Tonnies, David Wade, Frank Mishoe, John Mishoe, III, Tricia Holley, Tommy Holley and Elizabeth Holley; 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Judge L. Glenn Holley; sisters, Eunie Glover and Sis Carswell.
