Willie Mae Reed Harris

NEW ELLENTON, SC -- WILLIE MAE REED HARRIS , 84, widow of Keith W. Harris, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Augusta, GA, Mrs. Harris was raised in the Church of God Orphanage and Children's Home in Cleveland, TN and graduated from Bradley High School in Cleveland. She was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church in New Ellenton and was a former pianist for the Sunday School Assembly. Mrs. Harris was a seamstress and retired from Skinner's Sewing Room. Surviviors include four children; Henry Edward (Shirley) Hair, Terry Glen (Teresa) Hair, Donna Harris (Andy) Lowe and Markeita Harris (Tony) Barnette all of New Ellenton, thirteen grandchildren; Larry (Melanie) Lowe, Donald Lee (Jena) Chambers, Joshua Kaleb (Amanda) Chambers, Kristofer (Courtney) Lowe, Katie (Josh) Yonce, Kristie Hair, Kellie Hair, Terry Moore, Dee Dee Moore, Amber Barnette and Beth Barnette, and thirteen great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Lowe, Emma Chambers, Garris Chambers, Kailey Liquori, Kody Glanton, Robin Lowe, Corbin Lowe, Krystyn Hair, Fionn Moore, Isabel Moore, Gracie Jones, Mason Martin and Bella Martin. She was preceded in death by her brother, L. C. Reed, who was killed in the Pacific during World War II. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM Wednesday at Grace Covenant Church of God, followed by the funeral service 2:00 PM. The Rev.'s Edgar Foster and Brantley Bryan will officiate. Private interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Chambers, Joshua Chambers, Kris Lowe, Roy Elrod, Dick Harris and Sandy Harris.
