Foye G. McCoy

AIKEN, SC – FOYE G. McCOY, 77, beloved husband of Lois Hambrick McCoy, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Soperton, GA, Mr. McCoy was a son of the late Jessie James and Clara Elizabeth Wheeler McCoy. He was retired from DuPont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site with 39 years service. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion. Survivors, in addition to his wife Lois, include a son, Dana (Crystal) Wade McCoy, New Ellenton, three grandchildren, Brittany, Madison and Brandon McCoy, three sisters, Juanita Collins, Tarrytown, GA, Alberta Eaton, Vidalia, GA and Orita Coleman, Glennwood, GA and two brothers, Cecil McCoy and James McCoy, both of Vidalia, GA. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Soperton, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
