Joe Travis Pryor

AIKEN - Mr. Joe Travis Pryor, 41, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Beaufort, SC. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, February 17 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Father James L. LeBlanc celebrant. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Chapman, Keith Sandifer, Travis Taylor, Bobby Robinson, Edward Keady, Chris DeVore, John Blankenship, Teddy Umsted, Mike Lane, Larson Boatwright. Travis was born in Savannah, GA, a son of the late Clifford H. and Jane Cochran Pryor. He moved to Aiken with his parents in 1982, and was a primary shareholder with Pryor, Inc. He adored his family and friends, loved the outdoors, hunting and rebuilding cars. He also enjoyed spending time in Beaufort and boating. He is survived by his wife, Amy Holley Pryor; his children, Joe Travis "J.T." Pryor, Jr., Taylor Jane Pryor, Delaney Holley Pryor, all of Aiken; four sisters, Sherry P. Poplin, Aiken, Donna P. Sturkie, Gaston, SC, Diana P. Roof, St. Matthews, SC, Yuba Jane Pryor, Aiken; two brothers, Clifford H. Pryor. Jr., Aiken, Charles R. Pryor, Aiken; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Blanche Zeagler Cochran. The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Pryor Family Trust, P.O.
