Windsor, SC - John H. Workman passed from this life on April 25, 2007. He was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Emory C. and Grace G. Workman on November 17, 1930. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Armeda Lowman Workman, his parents, three brothers: William C., Heyward E., Franklin D., two sisters: Margaret Seefluth, Dorothy Weatherford, and his grandson, John Daniel Workman.
John is survived by his devoted and dear wife of 30 years, Shirley Mull Workman, a sister, Jenny Moore of Easley, SC, a brother, Roger L. Workman of Clearwater, SC, two sons, John V. (Carole), Everett E. (Lynn) both of Aiken, one daughter, Delia W. Glanton, of Gloverville, SC, three step daughters: Kathy Muszall of Burnettown, SC, Lori P. Thomas of Lexington, SC, Amy P. (Mylon) Pope of Jacksonville, Florida. He also has 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
He retired from E.I DuPont after 36 years and Westinghouse after 4 years. He was a member of Mount Beulah Baptist Church, Windsor, SC.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Mount Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, or Trinity Hospice of Augusta.
The family will receive friends Thursday Evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 at the funeral home, followed by the burial at Southlawn Cemetery.
