Sudie Mae Stewart Phillips

AIKEN - Mrs. Sudie Mae Stewart Phillips, 93, died Friday, March 18, 2011. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 21 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend J.B. Redd officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Phillips was born in Soperton, GA, a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Calcie Leona Screws Stewart. She had been a resident of Aiken and a nurses aid. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter, Debra P. (Bill) Butler, Aiken; two sons, Bobby D. Phillips, Aiken Billy G. (Anne) Phillips, Darien, GA; four grandchildren, William R. (Lori) Butler, James S. (Tammy) Butler, Jeanne (Ron) Hunt, Robert Phillips; six great grandchildren, Valerie, James, Addison and Samantha Butler, Ethan and Bryce Hunt. She is also survived by three step-granddaughters, five step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family has requested that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Rd., Aiken, SC 29803, or the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 205, Columbia, SC 29204.
