Betty Grubbs Pardue
AIKEN - Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Betty Grubbs Pardue, has died at the age of 76. She was the dearly loved wife of George Stewart Pardue and mother of Ann Pardue Flanagan and Kim Pardue Cross. Born June 9, 1930 to Joseph Wade Grubbs and Ethel Hartzog Grubbs of Blackville, South Carolina, Betty was a long time resident of Aiken. She was retired from Aiken Technical College and enjoyed gardening and playing bridge.
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years and their two daughters : Kim Pardue Cross and husband Marshall Cross of Newport News, Virginia; and Ann Pardue Flanagan and husband Paul Joseph Flanagan and their children Anna Rose and Kimberly.
A memorial service is being held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church on Vaucluse Road in Aiken, South Carolina. Reverend Jim Kirk will officiate.
