David K. Fenstermacher

AIKEN, SC -- DAVID K. FENSTERMACHER, 79, beloved husband of Barbara Schwarze Fenstermacher, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Allentown, PA, Mr. Fenstermacher was a son of the late Harry K. and Phyllis Van Brunt Fenstermacher. He was graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Geology and completed his MBA at Lehigh University. He was a Works Engineer with ICOMI in Amapa, Brazil from 1955-59, then worked as a Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Engineer with DuPont from 1962-89 and Westinghouse Savannah River Company at SRS in Aiken from 1989-95. Survivors, in addition to his wife Barbara, include two sons, Stephen (Nancy) and William; daughter, Joanne, special grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Edward B. Fenstermacher. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4:00 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
