Aiken, SC- Rickey Donald Stapleton, Sr., 54, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Union, SC, Mr. Stapleton was a son of George Mitchell and Lee Gault Stapleton, Jr. Survivors include his mother Lee Stapleton, Couchton, his daughter, Shellie Stapleton, Aiken, SC, his son, Rickey D. (Jackie) Stapleton, Jr., Beech Island, SC, four grandchildren, Jordan and Weslee Stapleton and Tyler and Destiny Kern, two sisters Pam (Bobby) Wilhite, and Donna (Mike) Youngblood, and a brother Michael Terry Stapleton, all of Couchton, SC. Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home.
