Clyde Lake

AIKEN, SC -- CLYDE L. LAKE, 81, beloved husband of Doris Lake, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Randolph County, Indiana, Mr. Lake was a son of the late Bruce and Juanita Green Lake. He received a law degree from La Salle College in Chicago, IL. In 1984 he retired from American Mutual Insurance Co. as Vice President of Claims. He then went to work with the Kentucky Department of Transportation appraising real estate for highways and retired in 1994. He retired to Florida before moving to Aiken in 1996. Mr. Lake was a member of Winchester Masonic Lodge # 56 in Winchester, IL, Bahia Shrine in Orlando, FL and Houndslake Country Club. Survivors, in addition to his wife Doris of 59 years, include a daughter, Cheryl (Jim) Buck, Richmond, KY and three brothers; James (Doris) Lake, Ridgeville, IN, Samuel Lake, Saratoga, IN and Carl Lake, Saratoga, IN. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Sunset Memory Gardens with The Rev.
