Jerry W. Flowers, age 71, of Murfreesboro, passed away on April 21, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
He was a native of Hanna, South Carolina but resided in Rutherford County. Jerry was a member of the Baptist Church and a Mason at Hillcrest Lodge in Sumter, South Carolina. He retired from the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Dorothy Floyd Flowers. He is survived by his wife, Kay Flowers of Murfreesboro; son, Jerry “Billy” Flowers, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; step-sons, Andrew Oswald of Belgium and Geoffrey Oswald of Dubai; daughter, Sandra Leigh “Sandy” Flowers of St. Augustine, Florida; brothers, Ronald Flowers of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Neil Flowers of Aiken, South Carolina; sisters, Genelle Eadie of Aiken, South Carolina and Jean Bradshaw of Aiken, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A private family graveside service will full military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Aiken Memorial Gardens.
