Dorothy Teresa Hayes Lamprey

AIKEN - Mrs. Dorothy Teresa Hayes Lamprey, 79, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM Friday at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with the Reverend Father James L. LeBlanc celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Lamprey home following internment. Mrs. Lamprey was born in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Francis A. and Dorothy Elizabeth Terrio Hayes. She had been a resident of Aiken since 1972, and was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Dorothy quickly came to call Aiken home and knew this was where she wanted to raise her family. And a fine job she did. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she was a model of faith that touched many lives instilling values and integrity that will live on. She will certainly be missed but never forgotten. She is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur Shepard Lamprey; two daughters, Amy A. Lamprey, Lexington, SC, Nancy E. Lamprey, Gaston, SC; two sons, William F. (Susan) Lamprey, Columbia, SC, Richard A. (Frankie) Lamprey, Roswell, GA; two grandchildren, Brenna L. Lamprey and William Jared Lamprey; a brother, Joseph (Arlene) Hayes, Lakeland, FL.
