Julian Moseley

AIKEN - Mr. Julian Moseley, 81, died Saturday, April 30, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Levels Baptist Church with the Reverend Larry Scales and the Reverend Davis Barton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Earle Church of God Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Folk, David Moseley, Keith Moseley, Allen Moseley, Collin Morris and Larry Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons and former Deacons of Levels Baptist Church, and Allen Sturkie. Mr. Moseley was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He was a son of the late Henry Platt and Marie Harsey Moseley. He had served in the US Army, and was an electrician at SRP and for Owens Corning Fiberglass. As a member of Levels Baptist Church, Mr. Moseley was a member of the hostess committee, and was very active with church construction and repairs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gaynelle Payton Moseley; sister Mildred Virginia Moseley. Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary Ethel Payton Moseley; two daughters, Judy Maness, Hopkins, SC, Gwendolyn (Chuck) Riggs, Aiken; two sons, Steven Jerry Moseley and Ronald Allen (Vivian) Moseley, both of Aiken; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Patty Moseley Brown, Aiken; brothers, Henry P. Moseley, Jr., Aiken, Thomas (Carolyn) Moseley, Ocala, FL, Stanley Eugene (Edee) Moseley, Las Vegas, NV; special friends and caregivers, Lisa Valentine, Renee Whaley and Jamie Whaley; special niece, Carolyn Folk.
