Mary McDaniel Sizemore

AIKEN – Mrs. Mary McDaniel Sizemore, 78, of Aiken, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Reverend David Lester and Reverend Cathy Cole will officiate. Interment will follow in the Talatha Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Sizemore, Mike McDaniel, Perry McDaniel, Dan Burkhalter, Steve Burkhalter, Bill McDaniel, Todd Johnson and Dan Willis. Mrs. Sizemore was born in Greenwood, SC, a daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Holmes McDaniel. She was a graduate of Columbia Commercial College and a resident of Aiken for 56 years, where she was a teacher’s aid for the Aiken County Public School System. She was a member of Talatha Baptist Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Herbert E, Sizemore; two daughters, Gail Sizemore Lewis, Sandra Sizemore West, both of Aiken; a son, Keith (Barbara) Sizemore, Aiken; eight grandchildren, Michael Sizemore, Christal Sizemore, Marc Sizemore, Tanner West, Mary Cate West, Maggie West, Andrea Lewis and Travis Lewis; one great grandchild, James Sizemore; two sisters, Azell Mundy, Belvedere, SC, Ann Burkhalter, Cedartown, GA; two brothers, Coy McDaniel, Johnston, SC, Jack McDaniel, N.
