AIKEN, SC -- MARIAN M. PARISH, 79, beloved wife of William R. "Bill" Parish, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Winter Haven, Florida, Mrs. Parish was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Jeanette Horton Martin. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University and worked as an Insurance Agent prior to her retirement. She had resided in Aiken with her husband for the past 19 years. Mrs. Parish was an avid Golfer and she enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Houndslake Country Club and was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors, in addition to her husband Bill, include a brother-in-law and sister in law, James R. and Jeanette Parish of Aiken, a nephew and 2 nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Christopher Crotwell officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
