Elizabeth Ward Becker

Pinellas Park, FL - Elizabeth Ward Becker, 86, went to be with her heavenly Father on May 22, 2011. She was a resident of the Pinellas Park/Seminole, Florida area and prior to that lived in Aiken, SC. for over 20 years. Elizabeth was born July 17, 1924 in Savannah, GA. to Samuel Joseph Ward & Frankie Lee Inez Ward. She was very involved for many years at both St. Giles Episcopal Church in Pinellas Park and St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken. She enjoyed organizing & being a part of all types of church activities for children & adults. She is survived by her son, Stephen P. Zelnak, Jr., and his wife Judy of Raleigh, NC.; daughters, Charlene Zelnak, and her husband Jack Crowley of Chiefland, FL. & Barbara Ann Aponte of Elkton, FL.; five grandchildren & seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Ward Garner, her husband Jerry, niece, Tracy Vescovi & nephew, Doug Garner, all of Pinellas Park, FL., and all of whom helped her greatly as her health declined. A Graveside burial service will be held at Aiken Memorial Gardens on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM where she will be buried next to her beloved grandson, Joshua Edward Becker, who predeceased her.
