AIKEN - Mrs. Shirley Lasister Alexander, 64, died Monday, June 13, 2011. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday evening in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 PM. Interment will be held privately. Mrs. Alexander was born in Augusta, GA, a daughter of the late Cecil and Sidney Bell Lasister. She had been a resident of Aiken for over 30 years, and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after more than 38 years of employment. She is survived by her beloved husband, David James Alexander; two sons, Robert Loner, Augusta, Steven George, Aiken; a grandchild, Jandra Smith; a sister, Betty (Jake) Jacobs, Thompson, GA; a brother, Cecil (Cindy) Lasister, Augusta.
