AIKEN, SC -- MARTHA ELIZABETH KINSEY, 72, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Home surrounded by her friends and family. The family will receive friends Friday, June 17 , at 6 p. m., at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 E. Pine Log Rd. Aiken, SC. Miss. Martha was born on June 1, 1939, in Augusta, GA, to the late Elizabeth Moss Kinsey and James Wade "J.W." Kinsey. She had been a resident of Aiken for over 30 years and attended St. Luke Methodist Church in Augusta. Martha graduated from Richmond Academy in 1956 and started her career with Bell South in Augusta. She retired from One Stop in Aiken in 2008 and continued to work with Dr. Michael Fulford in Aiken. She enjoyed time spent with friends and family, the beach and was an avid Nascar fan who loved attending the races in Charlotte, NC. She is survived by Daniel Craven, Pleasant Garden, NC, her loving daughters; Norma Elizabeth Craven, Aiken, SC and Catherine Ann Craven, Mt. Pleasant, SC. three brothers; Jim Kinsey, Columbus, MS, Ben Kinsey, North Augusta, SC and David Kinsey, Augusta, GA. Several special nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Aiken County Animal Control, 411 Wire Rd, Aiken, SC 29801.
