James William Leinart

AIKEN, SC- JAMES WILLIAM LEINART, 87, beloved husband of Aileen Leinart died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the VA Medical Center, Augusta. A native of Lenoir City, TN and a resident of Aiken, SC. After serving in the Army, where he was a WWII veteran, he began his career at SRS and retired after 31 years. He was a faithful follower of our Lord. Survivors in addition to his wife of 67 years Aileen, include his daughters Peggy L. Barnes of Aiken and Debi Leinart-Heard of Atlanta, his son Jimmy Leinart of Columbia, four grandchildren Jennifer B. Neal, Savannah, Byron Barnes, Aiken, Jack and Asa Heard, Atlanta, and five great grandchildren Lauren Glover, Logan Neal, Trey Neal, Chase Barnes, and Matthew Barnes. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home Chapel, Friday at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service.
