AIKEN - Mrs. Helen Norris Crowder, 89, died Saturday, July 16, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenwood, SC. The family will receive friends in the church from 1:00-3:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Butch Cobb, Mac Reid, Tommy Hastings, Michael May, Jim Wheeler, Robert Lollis, Shane Cobb, Alex Ledbetter. Mrs. Crowder was born in Ninety Six, SC, a daughter of the late Frank Fuller and Sara Clark Norris. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church where she was active with the Womens' Missionary Union. She is survived by her daughter, Sara "Sally" C. Thigpen, Aiken; son, Thomas "Buddy" (Elizabeth) Crowder, Jr., Aiken; grandchildren, Norris Thigpen, Clark Thigpen, Zandra Ledbetter, Sharlene Dubon, Estephanie Timms, Carrie Leigh Crowder; great grandchildren, Michael May, Madison and Alex Ledbetter, Claire Reily and Cole Timms; a sister, Elise "Pomy" Gissendanner, Clarksville, GA; special niece, Joyce M. Price.
