Ronald Martin Lyell

AIKEN-- RONALD MARTIN LYELL, 69, died at his residence on July 27, 2011. Beloved husband of Theresa Albinana Lyell. A native of Madison, TN and a resident of Aiken, SC. He was the son the late Evelyn Maude Martin Lyell and Percy Howard Lyell. He was an Army veteran and served during Bay of Pigs. He began his career at SRS as a mechanic and later retired. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his 1972 Harley Davison and liked to camp at Hamilton Branch State Park. Survivors, in addition to his wife Theresa, include his daughter Kemberly DeNeane Lyell, Burlington, NC, his son Ronald Dean Lyell and stepson Russell Duane Grice, Aiken, four grandchildren Shane Wesley Poplin, Joseph Devin Cooper, Kristen Marie Lyell, and Camron Dean Lyell, two brothers Donald Wayne (Becky) Lyell of Dillon, SC and Phillip Ray (Kay) Lyell. He is preceded in death by his children Shane Martin Lyell and Crystal Dolly Lyell and a grandson Zachary Taylor. Funeral Services will be held at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday July 31,2011, at 4:00 PM. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of Montmorenci Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Russell Duane Grice, Vance Fleming, Sunny Cushman, Robert Cook, Wes Poplin, and Wayne Adams. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Steel Stallions Motorcycle Club.
