Helen Mitchell Bingman

Aiken- Helen Mitchell Bingman, 94, entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2011. Mrs. Bingman is survived by her niece, Susan Schultz, Mandan, ND, nephews, Steven Mitchell, Fargo, ND, Charlie Mitchell, Minneapolis, MN and a sister in-law, Dee Mitchell Scottsdale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ervin Bingman, sister, Cleo Mitchell, brothers, George Mitchell and John Mitchell. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Charles and Stavroula Batsakes Mitchell. Mrs. Bingman retired as an administrative assistant with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, New York, NY. She and her husband moved to Aiken in 1982. She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She was an avid Bridge player. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM August 2 at Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Father Vasile Bitere officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
