NEW ELLENTON, SC - Bert W. Walsh age 82 of Kingston, TN and New Ellenton, SC passed away Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, TN. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of New Ellenton, SC and attended Central Baptist Church of Kingston, TN. He retired from Savannah River Site; he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was an avid bowler with a league sanctioned 300 game. He was a two-time winner of the South Carolina Seniors tournament and represented South Carolina in the National Seniors Tournament. Mr. Walsh was preceded in death by first wife Wilma Trivett Walsh. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pittman White Walsh of Kingston; Daughters, Cindy Walsh Riley of Seminole, FL; Melissa Walsh Roberts of Aiken, SC; Step-Son David White of Knoxville; Step-Daughters, Connie White of Loudon; Sandra Jones of Knoxville; Grandchildren Adam Thomas; Hannah Thomas; James Thomas, Jr.; Bert W. Thomas; Kacie Riley Hamric; Kim Fisher; Kelli Wright and Christopher Roberts; Step-Grandchildren Aaron White; Eric White; Trey Jones and Elizabeth Jones; Several great grandchildren; Brothers, Lester Walsh of Athens; Amos Walsh of Beech Mountain, NC; Jake Walsh of Elizabethton, TN; Royce Walsh of Pickens, SC; Glenn Walsh of Beech Mountain, NC; Phillip Walsh of Kingston, TN; Sisters, Verlie Peters of Elizabethton, TN; Kate Braswell of Baltimore, MD. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Ellenton with Rev. Tresco Shannon officiating.
