CANDLER, NC - Mrs. Frances Hall Gardner, 84, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Candler, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Fred Andrea III officiating. The family will then receive friends in the church parlor. A private interment will be held in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gardner was born in Aiken, a daughter of the late George Hall and Lila Hall Scott. She was a retired nurse, having worked for Dr. James Barham for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and a member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Cereus Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Roger) Ridenour, Candler, NC, Abbie (Jimmy) Floyd, Sumter, SC; a son, Mike (Joan) Gardner, Graniteville; five grandchildren, Dave Ridenour, Russ Ridenour, Rob Ridenour, Katie Gardner, Derek Floyd; a great granddaughter, Sophie Ridenour; a sister, Pat (Mike) Gumula, Graham, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas Gardner, a brother, James C. Hall and a nephew, Erik Hall.
