William R. "Willie" Parker

AIKEN, SC -- Mr. William Randall “Willie” Parker, 62, of Aiken, died Thursday July 5, 2007 at Uninversity Hospital in Augusta, GA. Mr. Parker was born in Hannah Community of Florence County, to the late William Earl and Florence Flowers Parker. He graduated from Hannah High School and attended the South Carolina Police and Fire Academy. Willie retired from the Aiken Department of Public Safety with 33 years of service. He was a member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge # 156, Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star and Past President of SC Crime Prevention Officers Association. He served as Demolay and Rainbow Dad. Survivors include his loving wife, Dianne Poston Parker, his son Wayne Parker, and brother C.E. Parker all of Aiken. Memorials may be directed to the Lewis Blackman Fund, Central Carolina Community Foundation, P.O. Box 11222, Columbia, SC 29211. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Shellhouse Rivers Funeral Home with Reverend Bo Kelly, Chief Carroll Busbee and Mr. Dean Strickland, Jr. officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Aiken Public Safety Officers and members of the Aiken Lodge #156.
