Cindy Susan Dukes Darr

NEW ELLENTON, SC -- CYNTHIA SUSAN DUKES DARR, 52, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Cindy was a daughter of Vera Ballentine Dukes and the late Ernest Kenneth Dukes. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Cindy had a big heart and a green thumb and loved decorating and gardening. Survivors, in addition to her mother Vera of Aiken, include two daughters, Adrianne Victoria Darr and Elaina Nicole Darr, both of North Augusta, a son, Evan Gerhardt Darr of North Augusta, two sisters, Deborah Dukes (David) Wallace, Aiken, and Cheryl Dukes McGee, Aiken, two brothers, Kenneth Michael Dukes, Aiken and Jeffery Miram (Debbie) Dukes, Aiken, her former husband, Steve Darr, North Augusta several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her Pug, Mai Ling. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Zawislak officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Dukes, James Whittle, Chad Polatty, Chris McGee, Jeffery Dukes, Zac Buckner and Danny McGee. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
