Theodore Clifton Weeks

MONTMORENCI - Mr. Theodore Clifton Weeks, 85, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011. A life long resident of Aiken County, he was born in Montmorenci, SC to the late Bessie Woodward Weeks and Theodore Weeks. Mr. Weeks was a graduate of the University of Virginia and received an Honorary Doctorate from USCA. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II. Deservingly, he was honored as Man of the Year by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce while serving Aiken as a banker, a farmer, an insurance specialist and a real estate developer. He was Chairman of the Board for Security Federal Corporation, the holding company for Security Federal Bank for over 53 years, a member of Rotary and a member of Aiken First Baptist Church. An avid sportsman, he loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Though he loved all animals, he was especially fond of his dogs. He is survived by his daughter, Monte Weeks (Tim) Simmons of Aiken and was preceded in death by his wife, Franceys Beaty Weeks. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the Montmorenci First Baptist Church cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Board of Directors of Security Federal Bank.
