AIKEN – Mr. Harry Lee Butler, 74, of Aiken, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday at St. Johns United Methodist Church The Reverend Dr. George K. Howle will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Gas Car Club. The family will receive friends following the services. Mr. Butler was born in Akron, OH, a son of the late Frank D. Butler and Dorothy Heasley Butler. He served in the Korean War with the US Navy, and received his Masters in Business Administration from Kent State University. He moved to Aiken in 1989, and was the Director of Purchasing for Westinghouse. Mr. Butler was a member of Woodside Country Club and the Gas Car Club. Mr. Butler is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Ann Gray Butler; two daughters, Sue Ann (Stewart) Smith, Columbus, OH, Janet Lynn (Tim) Wertz, Aiken; four grandchildren, Will Wertz, Eric Wertz, Garrett Smith and Harrison Smith; a brother, Frank Butler, Soddy Daisy, TN.
