AIKEN, SC- Louise McClung Kemp, 78, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Benson, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Millbrook Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial, Augusta, GA.
A native of Hawkinsville, GA, Mrs. Kemp was a daughter of the late Samuel Alexander and Mittie Torbert McClung. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence G. Krewson and her second husband, Douglas E. Kemp. She was a former member of the board of the Aiken Chapter of the American Diabetes Association, past president of the Widows Support Organization of Aiken, she had been a Sunday School teacher faithfully since 1954.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Krewson Kilpatrick, of Alabaster, AL, Janet Krewson (Vincent) Richardson, of Benson, NC, her grandchildren Melissa Heller, Matthew Kilpatrick, Christopher Kilpatrick, Vannessa Bland, Jessecca Lenzina, Casey Bland, and Greg Richardson, her brothers Charles Douglas McClung, Hawkinsville, GA and Edward M. McClung, Martinez, GA, her sisters Rebecca McClung Mullikin and Grace McClung Curry both of Hawkinsville and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church, 176 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC, 29803 or to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Ln, Columbia, SC 29210.
