AIKEN - Janice L. Lindsay, 80, died Wednesday, November 23, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was born in Hinton, WV and is survived by her husband, E.J. Lindsay and a son, Randy Keith (Darlene) Lindsay of Aiken. Additional survivors include a sister, Dixie Lee Miller, Temple, TX and a brother, Robert Lilly, Beckley, WV. She was the daughter of the late Amma Fay Cox and Robert Earl Lilly. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Una Hedrick, Arlene Hunt, Gaye Decker, Mary Frances Broughman and Jean Lilly Swann West and brothers, Odell Lilly and Elbert Lilly. Mrs. Lindsay was very active in her Church, Foreman Memorial Baptist, and served as The Golden Circle Sunday School Teacher for over 25 years. Serving her Lord Jesus was her greatest pleasure. She was previously employed as an Operator at Hubbell Industry and had lived in Aiken since 1954. A visitation will be held Saturday from 11 AM - 1 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 PM with the Reverend's Brantley Bryan and William Eaves officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lilly, Joe DeHart, Wayne DeHart, Jonathan Hamilton, Andrew Hamilton and Josh Yon. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Golden Circle Sunday School Class. Memorials can be made to Foreman Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 207 Smith Ave., New Ellenton, SC 29809.
