AIKEN, SC – SANDRA GUNTER GANTT, 61, widow of Woodrow Wilson Gantt, died Wednesday, August 01, 2007.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Gantt was a daughter of the late Clinton Lee Gunter and Jamie Seigler Gunter Owens. She retired from Avondale Mills after 40 years, and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tim (Colleen) Gantt and Ricky (Pam) Gantt, both of Aiken, five grandchildren, Joshua Gantt, Tabitha Ashley, Justin Gantt, Ben Gantt and Clinton Gantt, three sisters, Lois Barnes, Graniteville, Liz Gunter, Aiken and Farie Gerstner, Wagener, a step-brother, Pierce Owens, Aiken, her second mother, Louise Gresham, Langley and her caregiver Grace Fox, Aiken.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Solid Rock Baptist Church with The Rev.’s Jamie O. Rogers and Dewayne Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mundy, Dean Mundy, Larry Turner, Lynn Barnes, Troy Gunter and Laron Barnes. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
