Coleen Pyles Carey

AIKEN - Mrs. Coleen Adelle Pyles Carey, 86, wife of the late Harry W. Carey, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Mr. and Mrs. Carey were happily married for 62 years. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at St. Johns United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. George K. Howle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Carey was born in Zanesville, OH, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nellie Allen Pyles. She had been a resident of Aiken for 26 years and was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce (Judy) Carey, Williston, SC; two grandchildren, Shawn (Mary) Carey, Aiken, Sara (Matt) Howard, Lake Wylie, SC; a great grandson, Noah Carey; two brothers, Kenneth (Carol Pauley) Pyles and Clem (Pauline) Pyles, both of Zanesville, OH. The family has requested that memorials be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St., Aiken, SC 29801.
