AIKEN, SC—Douglas Lyle Staton, 79 died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his home. Born in Rockbridge, VA, Douglas was the son of the late Bruce James Staton and Zelma Qua Vive McDermott Staton. He served in the Navy during the Korea War. He has been a resident of Aiken, SC for 9 years, and a supervisor for Westvaco. Survivors include his wife Lucile Cash Staton, Aiken, SC, two step- sons Tommy Powers, Aiken, SC and Alan Powers, Staunton, VA. Memorial service will be private.
