Helen Bankston Murphy

AIKEN - Mrs. Helen Bankston Murphy, 85, died Sunday, January 1, 2012. Mrs. Murphy was born in Morton, MS, a daughter of the late Charles and Josie Moon Bankston. She had been a resident of Aiken for over 40 years. Mrs. Murphy was a devoted member of Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, member of the United Methodist Women, a member of the Amaranth White Shrine, and former volunteer for ACTS. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta (Mike) Edgar, Aiken, Sue Crank, Waynesboro, GA; grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Joe Don Farmer, Christopher Scott Farmer; great grandchildren, Cody Scott Farmer and Dylan Blake Farmer; a niece, Jan Huggins, Morton, and beloved pet, Gabby.
