William "Bill" Bryan Cool

AIKEN - Mr. William Bryan "Bill" Cool, 67, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 10 at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with the Reverend Joseph Whitehurst officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will then receive friends in the Stevenson-McClelland building. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Kuhn, Carl Huffman, John Bobbington, Jay Jones, Bud Backherms, Darcey Rogers and Nevin Wampole. Bill was born in Pittston, PA, a son of the late William H. Cool and Eleanor Atwater Cool. He moved to Aiken in 1952, served with the US Air Force in Vietnam, and later retired after 33 years as a Counselor for the S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation Department. He received a Masters Degree from the University of S.C. and was an avid Gamecock fan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalie Schrimscher Cool; a daughter, Alison Cool (Mike) Jahn, Kirkland, WA; a son, Bryan (Amy) Cool; three stepsons, Robert Stafford, Asheville, NC, Bruce Bargeron, Augusta, GA, Joseph Bargeron, Augusta, GA; five grandchildren, Taylor, Chrislyn and Dylan Cool, Oliver Athay and Jacob Bargeron; a sister, Dianne C. (Andrew T.) Hertneky, Boston, MA. The family has requested memorials be made to St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St. SW., Aiken, SC 29801, or the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O.
