Nadine Jacobsen

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Nadine Kane Jacobsen, 84, died August 17. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2007 at Cumberland Village. She was born in Chicago. IL to the late George Francis and Beverly Benes Kane. She was the personal secretary to US Senator Charles Percy of IL for over thirty years and later worked for US Senator J. Rockefeller of WV. She moved to Aiken in 1989 and was past president of the Republican Women’s Club of Aiken Co., was on the board and secretary of Friends of Hopelands and Rye Patch, Inc., and on the board and Ticket Chairman of Aiken Symphony Guild. Her husband, Kaare Otto Jacobsen, preceded her in death. Her brother, Jay Kane, Aiken, survives her.
