Edwin Frank Lyons

AIKEN - Chief Master Sargeant, Edwin Frank Lyons, 77, died Friday, February 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 640 Edrie Street NE Aiken, SC 29801 with the Rev. Father Don Abbott officiating with military honors included. Chief Master Sargeant Lyons was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Edwin Roger and Elsie Gerhauser Lyons. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and earned the rank of Chief Master Sargeant during his 26 years of service. He was well respected and had a wide variety of friends. His hobbies included going to all garage sales in Aiken County and beyond, but taking care of his family and being a true friend was what mattered most. He lives on through his wife Marion and his son and two daughters. Survivors include his beloved wife, Marion Hughes Lyons; two daughters, Jan Marie Lyons Giannelli and Lisanne Lyons Stockley, both of St. Augustine, FL. a son, Eric F. (Teresa) Lyons, Rutherfordton, NC, and a sister, Margaret Dolson of Airmont, NY. Also included are ten grandchildren; Ashley Trimboli, Samatha McGee, Rebecca Giannelli, Stephen B.Giannelli Jr., Rick Delgado, John Lyons, Roland Lyons, Josef Lyons, KC Lyons and Tyler Stockley, as well as three great grandchildren; Anthony Trimboli, Isabella Marie Trimboli and Aiden McGee.
