Lorine Kennedy Wessinger

AUGUSTA - Mrs. Lorine Kennedy Wessinger, 96, died Monday, February 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Reverend Louie Anderson and the Reverend Taylor Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be deacons of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Wessinger was born in Old Ellenton, SC, a daughter of the late Clyde Frederick and Leana Milton Kennedy. She was a retired dietician, and had formerly worked at the Abbeville Hospital. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Giles) Touart, Augusta, GA; four grandchildren, Sharon Moats, Philip Giles, Jennifer Giles and Steve Touart; five great grandchildren; a half sister, Rosemary Bevins, Augusta, GA; a half brother, Charles David Kennedy, Augusta, GA. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Giles, Sr.; son, William D. Giles, Jr.; granddaughter, Dawn Giles; second husband, Joe Henry Wessinger; step-daughter, Wanda Hiers.
