Franklin Riddle

AIKEN, SC – FRANKLIN D. RIDDLE, 71, beloved husband of Delanie Scott Riddle, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Yancey County, NC, Mr. Riddle was a son of the late Harley and Lizza Bryant Riddle. He was a former resident of Thomaston, GA where he was a former business owner. He worked around the world for the U. S. Embassy System. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Griffin, GA and was a member of Carpenters Local #283. Mr. Riddle had lived in Aiken since 1986. Survivors, in addition to his wife Delanie, include a daughter, Denise Greene-Drummond (Jeff), Las Vegas, NV; a son, Michael S. Greene, Sr. (Ana), Falls Church, VA; seven grandchildren, Amanda Greene, Michael S. Greene, Jr., Nathan N. Greene, Marsha R. Thatcher, and David H. Drummond along with two additional grandchildren; his buddy, Sabasty’en; twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth McIntosh, Leesburg, FL, Bonnie Tomporowski, Orange County, NY, Allo Hall, Leesburg, FL and Hazel Lowery, Tampa, FL; a brother, Jack Riddle, Macon, GA and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
