GRANITEVILLE, SC -- VAN ALLEN ZIMMERLY, 18 day old son of Jeffrey and Cassandra Nelson Zimmerly, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston. Survivors, in addition to his parents, Jeff and Cassandra, include a sister, Meredith Zimmerly, maternal grandparents, Dale and Alice Nelson, Aiken, paternal grandmother, Fran Zimmerly, Hartsville, SC. Additional survivors include an aunt and uncle, Sonesta and Eric Gilliam, Clearwater, SC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 PM at South Aiken Church of God with Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. Private burial will take place in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Wednesday at the church.
