AIKEN - Mrs. Norma K. Farrar passed away at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on March 10, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born on December 25, 1922 in Pikeville, KY to Gertrude and Roy Duran Keel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Glen E. Farrar, and her sister Wahta Lee Lowe. She is survived by her daughter Durana L. Farrar of Aiken, SC, her niece Linda (Buck) Buchanan of Spartanburg, SC and her two sons Trevor (Phyliss Ann) Isetts of Spartanburg, SC and Chip Isetts of Charleston, SC, and her precious little cat, Tommy.
Mrs. Farrar has been a resident of Aiken for 60 years, having moved to Aiken in 1952 when her husband went to work for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. She loved her family, friends, and neighbors and she was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was a long time member of Aiken's First Baptist Church.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in Bethany Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Fred Andrea III officiating. The family will remain after the service to receive friends.
