AIKEN - Mr. Steve Earnhardt Talbert, 66, died Friday, March 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend James Bankhead officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Friday, Gil O'Brian, Kevin Orander, Charles Heath, Woody Wilkie, Johnny Brooks, Lavern Hartley and Ernest Lee. Mr. Talbert was born in Burlington, NC and was a lifelong resident of Aiken. He attended Montmorenci Baptist Church and was a Past Master of the Aiken Masonic Lodge #156. Steve is survived by his wife, Anne Talbert; sons, Scott (Kim) Brinson, Aiken, Travis Brinson, Los Angeles, CA, Reid (Erica) Talbert, Aiken; daughter, Andrea (Steven) Shelton, Evans, GA; grandchildren, Coleman, Logan, Dylan, Kayla, C.J., Hailey, Abbigail, Kyle and Nicholas; brothers, James (Margaret) Marvin, Aiken, Greg (Elizabeth) Marvin, Aiken; sisters, Beth (Raleigh) Daniel, Aiken, Cissy (Jim) Bankhead), Spartanburg, SC; 13 nieces and nephews; 36 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Earnhardt Talbert, Sr., his mother and father, Carolyn and Charles Marvin; brother, Charles Marvin, III. Steve was also preceded by his cousin, the legendary 7-time NASCAR champion, Dale Earnhardt.
