AIKEN- Mr. Eugene Mark Cabbage, 90, died Friday September 21, at his residence
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Dyar officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
He was born in Liberty Hill, TN, to the late Charles Russell and Pearl Janeway Russell . He served in the United States Army during World War II, after his service he became a machinist for DuPont in nuclear production at SRP. He was a charter member of South Aiken Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, and a member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Daniel Prout Cabbage, and son, Gary (Marsha) Cabbage, of Seneca, SC, his step-son Steve (Angie) Prout, of Simpsonville, SC, his grandchildren Lisa Gibbs and Robyn Prout, his step-grandchildren Deede Edmondson, Brent Fields, and Ginger Huber, his two step-great-grandchildren Mereith Bean and Robbie Edmondson, and his three nieces Cynthia Abbatista, Brenda Hayes, and Phyllis Freshour. Preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine Griffith Cabbage.
Memorials may be sent to Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Aiken, SC, 29803. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 PM at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC.
