Gary Hoyt Gregory

GRANITEVILLE - Gary Hoyt Gregory, 52, loving husband of Peggy Cobb Gregory, passed away on Thursday morning May 17, 2012, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, and went on to be with his late mother and sister, Marie Ann Benson Gregory and Vicki Lee Gregory Welch. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2012 at Mid-Valley Baptist Church, 2534 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville SC. Gary was a skilled sheet-metal fabricator and renowned for his wide-ranging cooking abilities, especially barbecuing; and as a child he and his brothers sang in a quartet led by his father which performed in dozens of churches throughout the area. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Cobb Gregory; his son, Melvin Timothy Baughman II (Shirin Oloumi Rothermel, expecting a daughter in July); two daughters, Aliese Marie Gregory and Amber Caroline Gregory; one step-son, Joshua David Baird (Helena Frances Baird); three step-granddaughters, Sonya Marie Baird, Laylah Saffron Baird and Nadia Lenore Baird; father, William Leon Gregory II (Mary); three brothers, William (Billy) Leon Gregory III (Linda), Robert (Bobby) Wilfred Gregory (Dianne), Keith Andrew Gregory Sr. (Johnna); and one sister, Lisa Ann Gregory McKevett (Tim).
