Ronica Gail Simmons Zielinski

EDGEFIELD, SC - Mrs. Ronica Gail Zielinski, 51, died Saturday, May 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Couchton Baptist Church, where she grew up in faith. The Reverend David Young will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Anthony Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Tommy Young, Lee Young, Jon Simpson, Derrick Robbins, and Matthew Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be "Momma Z's other sons". Ronica was born in Augusta, GA, a daughter of the late Billy R. and Betty DeLong Simmons. She was a lifelong resident of the Aiken area and had been actively attending Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church. Ronica and her husband Steve also lived in Beaufort, SC for several years before returning to Edgefield. She was a woman of faith, loved photography, the low country, and especially her family. She always kept everyone laughing. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Stephen M. Zielinski; two sons, Micheal (Valerie) Zielinski, Aiken, Raymond Zielinski, Edgefield; a granddaughter, Anslee Kate Zielinski, Aiken; a sister, Cheryl (Freddie) Westall, Aiken; brother, Randy (Teresa) Simmons, Aiken; brothers and sisters in law, Vicki and David Young, Michelle Campbell, Danny and Dottie Zielinski, Walter and Fay Zielinski. In addition, Ronica had many nieces and nephews and she loved them all dearly. Three surviving aunts; Polly Allen, Gulfport, Mississippi, Helen (Marshal) Givens, Walterboro, SC, Francis (Bud) Rankin, Yemassee, SC and an Uncle, Louis DeLong, Orangeburg, SC.
