AIKEN, SC – LOLA BODIE PIPER, 87, of Aiken, died Monday, October 01, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Piper was a daughter of the late Ollie and Eva Padgett Bodie. She retired from Graniteville Company and was a member of River of Life Church. She was formerly married to the late John W. Piper, Sr. Survivors include a son, Stephen Piper, Aiken, two grandchildren, Stephanie Tabor (James) Cloninger, Lubbock, TX and Richa Johne’ Zuchowski, Chester, VA, a great-granddaughter, Savannah Brooke Zuchowski and a sister, Mildred Hodges Powell, Aiken. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and John W. Piper, Jr., a daughter, Lynda Piper Tabor, and a brother Odell Bodie. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC, with Rev.’s John O. Newton and Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Gregory, James Gregory, Jr., Jimmie Tabor, Greg Evans, Terry Timmerman and Paul Timmerman.
